We'll definitely hear more about Call of Duty 2 at E3 in a couple of weeks, but for now, we managed to catch up with Vince Zampella, chief creative officer of Infinity Ward, and Zied Rieke, the game's lead designer, so we could grill them about the game.īrit fans take note: You get to play as, not one, but two different British characters in the game. The sequel was just announced last month, so, naturally, questions abound as to what to expect. Now the company is working on Call of Duty 2, which promises to up the intensity and realism, as well as the gameplay, across the board. With Call of Duty, Infinity Ward took the cinematic nature of the war, from the epic battles to the sheer chaos of combat, and translated it into a thrilling and exciting game.

However, Activision and Infinity Ward's smash hit, Call of Duty, manages to distinguish itself from the pack. It goes without saying that there are a whole lot of World War II-based first-person shooters to choose from.
